Perhaps you have already read our two other articles, where you can gain insight into how to use social media both before and during the trade fair.
Now the fair is over, and hopefully you have had some great days. You have likely collected quite a few business cards to follow up on. Make sure your follow-up is personal so the conversations feel familiar to the different visitors.
If you had visitors take part in a competition at the fair, they may also have agreed to subscribe to your newsletter, if you use one. It’s important to ensure they don’t forget about you. A good idea is to send them follow-up and engaging emails. These emails will hopefully result in them reaching out for a new collaboration. It can also be a “thank you for stopping by” email, where you briefly summarize how your trade fair participation went. This can also be a good idea if your existing clients and partners visited you at the fair. It shows you appreciate their visit while also updating them on the highlights of the event.
On social media, it’s a good idea to share a post describing “what happened at the fair.” This way, those who couldn’t attend still get a sense of how your participation went. Don’t forget your followers who may not yet be ready to start a collaboration. They are still interested in what’s happening at your company. That post could include whether you announced winners of competitions, what the highlight of the fair was, or if you had any special guests visiting your stand.
From there, it’s about continuing to use social media actively so you don’t lose your followers.
